AI for a defined task
A useful AI application starts with a specific question, such as reading an incoming request or identifying information in a technical document. Its output needs to fit the fields and steps of the application in which someone continues the work.
Examples in BizzBit software include AI-assisted reading of requests in the Operations Center for non-emergency patient transport. In MDB Builder, an uploaded ITP can be read by AI to create an MDB index.
Review remains part of the process
A document may be unclear, incomplete or structured differently from other files. AI output therefore needs appropriate checks. For an application, we agree on the data used, who can access it and where a person reviews the result.
Using AI does not guarantee that every source is processed without errors. If fixed rules or a conventional system integration better suit a step, AI is not necessary for that step.
Integrating existing systems
An integration exchanges information between applications, for example making a request available for planning or using a completed journey for invoicing. What is possible depends on the systems and the access they provide.
- Which application is the source of truth for each type of data?
- What data should be exchanged, and when?
- Who may read or change the information?
- What happens if information is missing or an exchange fails?
Start with an example from your work
Describe the information being copied today, where it comes from and what happens next. An anonymised example is preferable. It helps us assess whether document automation, an integration, AI or a combination would suit the process.
